Aug 22, (THAINDIAN NEWS) There is no denying the fact that despite the emergence of rival search engines uniting Google continues to be the most sought after search engine for the majority of users. The newest data indicates that for the US users Google is still the most popular search engine. In July Google’s search engine market share was a whopping 65.8 per cent. While this is 0.4 percent lower than what it had in the earlier month this minute fall does not matter much. Microsoft’s search engine Bing which is tying up with Yahoo and going gaga about its new strategy put in rather lackluster performance for the month of July and it seem sit will need a long time to come anywhere close to Google in popularity.
As of now Bing’s search engine market share borders at a meager 1 percent and it was the same in June as well. This is not really heartening for Microsoft. Yahoo continues to be at the second spot with a share of 17.1 per cent. Apart from online searches Google also trounces all its rivals in online video usage by a large margin. It is way ahead of Yahoo in this segment.
The news of Google’s dominance in online search comes as a major relief for the SEO companies that count on Google. However, Bing has made reasonable progress since its inception. It may not be in a position to challenge the monopoly of Google yet but it is making its presence felt in the industry. Google continues to add more features for its users which makes it the irresistible choice.
