Sep 4, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Google, the Internet search giant today celebrated the second anniversary of its popular web browser Chrome and released a new version of the browser for the users. The browser since its inception became popular and now it occupies the third spot in the web browser market. Chrome attracted the attention of the web users for its lightning speed and minimal and clutter free interface. Google says that with the version, the users will get better stability and fewer instances of crashes while using it. The new version of Chrome also comes with a soothing color scheme, as per the company. As is the case with each release, Chrome 6 offers the users a plethora of new features.

According to Google, the JavaScript performance in the 6th version of Chrome is much faster compared to the previous versions. The important feature in the new version of Chrome is the support for HTML 5. The support for OSes like Macintosh and Linux have also been improved in the new version of Chrome. The Internet search giant has also said that it will keep on introducing new features after the release of the version 6 of Chrome. One of the much awaited events is the launch of the Chrome Web Store. New versions of the browser would be released in near future.

Chrome 6 also supports hardware acceleration and it will result in improved and faster performance. The Chrome user base is only growing with each month and it poses a potent threat to the dominance of Microsoft’s Internet explorer. The extensions supported by the browser make things easier for the demanding web users.
