021Mountain View, July 6, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Like every other occasion which spurs up their innovative brains, Google is sporting a new doodle today. The new doodle marks the birth anniversary of famous Mexican painter Frida Kahlo. The Internet giant pays honor to the artist in an unique doodle which has became the signature of Google and their token of appreciation towards renowned personalities.

Frida Kahlo who is famous for carving out her own portrait was born on July 6 way back in the year of 1907. Right form her childhood, she had a penchant for making sketches out of simple objects which wouldn’t have inspired other painters. When asked about her self portrait she once said that she drew her self pictures because she knows the person better, one who is within her. Her paintings reflected vibrant colors which were an indispensable component of the folk art. The painter had been a close witness to the Mexican Revolyion when she was a kid. In the later phase of her life, she married Mexican muralist and communist Diego Rivera. However, the marriage wasn’t a happy one and finally the two got separated in 1939. In just a span of one year Frida Kahlo remarried her husband in hope of a successful marriage life but the second marriage followed the tracks of the first one and she was forced to separate herself once again from her husband.

Frida Kahlo’s paintings never made it in front of the public during her lifetime. It was after a few years of her death when the artistic movement of Mexico, “Neomexicanismo,” retrieved them and exhibited them all. Held as an motivational figure, Frida Kahlo’s life had inspired Hollywood to make a self titled biographical film “Frida” which was directed by Julie Taymor and had Salma Hayek in the lead role.
