The New York office of the company has been infested by bedbugs as the pests have spread across various parts of the city. These insects are reddish brown in color, small in size yet can cause itching like anything. The web search behemoth admitted that its Manhattan office has got infested with the pestering bugs. This summer the bedbugs are giving the residents of New York City sleepless nights and Google is the latest one to fall to its invasion. The bugs have not even spared Empire state Building. Time Warner’s headquarters in Manhattan has also been affected by these pests.

Reportedly one Google employee leaked the news on the web first and it spread online fast. The rise in the bedbug invasion in recent years has been blamed on the decline in DDT usage. The US environmental protection agency earlier warned about a possible bedbug epidemic and their prediction has turned out to be true. Google is now taking steps to clean its office premises as fast as possible and the employees have been informed about the development.

Ever since the tweet of the Google employee made appearance on a social networking site the search on the topic has shot up like never before. The post was later moved and according to the reports the account itself was not found. However, it is quite clear that the internet search giant is not immune from the small pests like others.
