Google Background Whatever internet search giant Google does is watched by millions of web users, be it a new doodle or some change in the search page.

Therefore when Google decided to experiment with the look of its default search page or Google homepage reactions were expected. It decided to do away with the Spartan all white look of its homepage and introduced custom background option.

Many users saw it Google’s move to take on rival Bing which also uses a changing custom background. However, the experiment was withdrawn quickly by Google on Thursday itself which also surprised many people.

Google users did not like this experiment as was evident from the reactions of the majority of web users.

Most of Google applications including its browser Chrome are known for their minimalist appearance and effectiveness and the search page is no exception. Besides, the users used to see the bare white page just could not find the image laden option familiar.

Some of the users became quite irate with Google and they searched the web for options to remove the image. The option was given at the page itself but many of them did not see it at all as it was in small sized fonts. They also vented their wrath in Twitter and other networking sites randomly.

Google took notice of the growing dissent among a section of the users and they were quick to remove the images from the homepage.

However, Google spokespersons said publicly that it was removed for a bug. Those who liked the image option can still avail it through iGoogle.
