gow3San Francisco, Mar 17, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Yesterday, SCEA or Sony Computer Entertainment America released the much awaited console game titled God of War 3 in the USA. The game is the last part of a trilogy that deals with the theme of a Spartan warrior’s vengeance against the Greek Gods. Set in the fascinating realm of Greek mythology, the game places the protagonist Kratos amidst devastation and carnage and he wants to have his revenge against the deities who have made him suffer. This is a single player version meant for the owners of Sony’s PS3 console. The walkthrough videos of the game are available in form of videos that can be downloaded by the interested gamers who want to get a glimpse into the game before playing.

The God of War 3 walkthrough videos show Kratos taking his voyages at Mt. Olympus and down the shallow depths of the underworld. The visuals and effects are awesome as Sony claims. It is a puzzle to some as to why Sony decided to launch the game exclusively for PS3. Releasing it for other mediums would have resulted in getting it across a larger customer base. The game was developed over 3 years and the production cost was steep. However, some people are of the opinion that with this game, Sony wants to boost the sale of its flagship console PS3 which is lagging behind rival Wii.

There is a thriving community of PS3 games and they are likely to lap up this game as well. The initial sales figures are quite encouraging and this may turn out to be a blockbuster.
