Apr 20, (THAINDIAN NEWS) By now, every gadget freak knows how an Apple Employee got drunk in a beer bar and unknowingly left his prototype of upcoming iPhone 4 there. From there it reached Gizmodo and the news and images of the upcoming device got published on the web and spread like wildfire. It is still not clear whether the incident is real or a stunt to generate more pre release buzz about the device. The latest update on the incident is that the editorial director of Gizmodo, Brian Lam has received a letter, reportedly from Apple itself to return the piece of iPhone prototype that was left behind by one of its employees. However, the letter does not state whether the device is the upcoming model or just a beta model undergoing tests.
Gizmodo has reported in its site that the upcoming version of the phone, as seen in this prototype is somewhat different from the existing flagship model, iPhone 3GS. The model reportedly has enhanced features compared to the iPhone 3GS. When the photos of the model were published in the web along with the spec the Apple rumor sites and gadget lovers went berserk with excitement. The authenticity of the news is not clear so far. However, given the fact that Apple is paranoid about maintaining the secrecy of their product before release, it seems natural that they will try to get back the device as soon as possible.
Apple has not made any official comment so far. However, the incident has given the gadget sites enough juice to circulate the story around. The specs of the device, as revealed by Gizmodo are really impressive.
