1232Washington, Apr 7, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Comcast Corporation is all giggles and they have plenty of reasons to do so. With the federal court ruling out all claims of Federal Communication Commission for broadband internet regulations, it is likely that all plans of expanding the broadband internet services all around the American States are grounded in the muddy waters.

FCC lost the case to Comcast Corporation for net neutrality which witnessed the Federal court ruling out that all ISP’s are free to propagate their business in their own way and there shall be no discrimination on that. Obviously, this is a great opportunity for Comcast Corporation as one the nation’s biggest cable provider. However, the FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski is of the opinion that owing to the present scenario, it’s highly demanding that the net neutrality should come into effect. The chairman gave reasons like Internet phone softwares which runs in a web based browser.

The net neutrality issue also brought in its trail Comcast’s actions towards Bit Torrent in the year 2007. Reportedly, Bit Torrent which happened to be an online file-sharing platform allowed all its users to send over heavy files like movies and other stuffs over the Internet. However, in 2008, FCC had went ahead to impose a ban on Comcast who were blocking all its subscribers from using Bit Torrent. Comcast Corporation went ahead to fight back the issue that Federal Communications Commission is only enforcing its own laws which would never gain grounds with the real time users. Tuesday’s court verdict which was decided upon by three judges was a big shock to FFC as it puts a big question mark against the body’s powers to regulate all broadband services round the nation.
