facebook_googleSep 12, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Internet search giant Google was said to be the most used site in the Internet. However a latest study shows that Facebook has overtaken Google as the site that is visited most frequently site, as far as the US users are concerned. As per the finding, the users have spent 41.1 million minutes in using Facebook in the month of August. The amount crossed the time people spent on the sites owned by search giant Google, namely Gmail, Orkut and Youtube. It clearly shows that Google needs to rethink about its social network policy.

A reason why Facebook has been able to keep the users hooked to its site for the maximum time is that it enables the users to share the images and videos with ease. This is the reason people from all age groups lobe using Facebook to keep in touch with their friends and relatives. Facebook now has almost 500 million users worldwide and it has eclipsed the other dominant social networking sites to an extent. The users of Facebook spend more than 20 minutes on a average in Facebook site.

On the other hand, people refer to Google when they want to find information on any topic since it reigns in finding facts on literally any topic. The search engine of Google processes over a billion search requests every day. Google on its part has refused to comment on the report so far. However, there is no denying the fact that Google is getting worried at the increasing popularity of Facebook and it may come with its solution.
