Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg admits privacy mistakes

New York, May 25 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has admitted in a letter to tech blogger Robert Scoble that the most famous social network in the world has made some privacy mistakes. Users have been complaining particularly about the user interface, in which they want to change their user settings. The say the interface is too complex and Facebook keeps changing the interface too often.

Users have also complained about flaws in their privacy. For instance recently some users have got their private messages exposed to their friends after technical glitches. Discontentment is growing among Facebook users and some members have started group efforts to delete their accounts with Facebook. Some users have also set 31st of May, as the Quit Facebook Day. They say they are going quit the site on the 31st of May.

Four New York students have publicly asked for support to build a site to compete with Facebook and so far their appeal has raised about $175,000. However some analysts say Facebook is confused about the principles under which it operates. But Facebook maintains that its principle has always been to allow the user to share the information that they want. Facebook also added that advertisers do not have access to personal user details.
