Droid X Phones Experiences Screen Problems, Motorola Assures Replacement

July 22, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Although the Motorola Droid X for Verizon was pitched as a must have for all gadget freaks, it seems that the smartphone is not without its share of glitches. Anticipation was skyrocketing among gadget geeks about Verizon’s Droid X who were eagerly waiting for its launch which took place recently. However, the lucky few who have been able to purchase the much-awaited smartphone for themselves have revealed that Droid X has some kind of an issue with its screen.
On Wednesday, Motorola admitted that a small segment of the Droid X variety of smartphones have experienced certain problems with its screen due to which the customers who might need a replacement would have to contact either Verizon or Motorola. A spokesperson of the company has confirmed that a small number of the Droid phones have experienced a screen glitch but the defect is a minor one which has been fixed by the company. At the same time, the spokesperson also added that the all the customers who have been effected by the anomaly would be provided with new Droid handsets.
Some of the anomalies that have been reported by the users are rapid flickering and display of vertical bands across the screen which are few of the common glitches found in the smartphone. According to reports, after experiencing the screen issues with Droid X, some of the users got a replacement for themselves while they were informed that these symptoms were common with the batch that was sold on the day of the launch.
