Doodle 4 Google Won By Makenzie Melton

Missouri, May 27, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Google Doodles do not need any explanation to the web users. It is the logo that the internet search giant keeps changing from time to time. The Doodles are changed on certain occasions and also for commemorating certain events. Just a few days back Google changed its logo to the cult console game Pac Man. A few months back this year, Google announced its annual Doodle 4 Google competition. The theme selected for this year’s contest was ‘If I Could Do Anything, I would’. The internet search giant also said that it will put the best doodle on its page on May 27. After a long wait Google has picked the winner for this year’s contest and as it promised the logo has also been put on the home page.
The winner for this year’s Doodle 4 Google contest is Makenzie Melton, a 9 year old student from El Dorado Springs, Missouri. She has selected Rainforest Habitat as her doodle. Google has revealed that it got huge response for this year’s contest and the total number of submission crossed 33000. As the prize, the student has received a netbook computer, a college scholarship worth $15,000. Even her school has got a grant of $25000. Her school authorities are quite proud of her achievement.
The winner who is a third grader may be young but she is aware about the need of protecting the animals that stay in the rainforests. The Google blog says that three other national finalists are also going to get a netbook computer each. Their doodles were considered the best in their grades.
