Did Apple exec Mark Papermaster leave the company because of ‘antennagate’?

iphone California, Aug 8 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Apple exec Mark Papermaster who was responsible for the iPhone engineering and the antenna design has left the company. And there is a strong buzz in the air that apparently he left the company because of the ‘antennagate scandal’.

Mark’s exit was confirmed by Apple spokesman Steve Dowling, who also added that Mark’s responsibilities have now been taken care of Bob Mansfiled. However he refused to talk at all about the reason behind Mark’s exit. He also refused to offer any explanation about the timely exit.

Since the launch of the latest iPhone 4, Apple has been mired in controversies over the faulty design of the antenna of the iPhone 4.

After the antennagate scandal Apple acknowledged that the problem had existed in its previous iPhone’s as well, but it was only lately that it came to light. The officials at Apple said that users often find the signal bars reduce all of a sudden. They also added that the signal bars are not accurate enough. Apple also added in its defense, that it would issue a free software update to fix the phone’s current problem. They also added that after the patch the signal problem would become better.
