Alienware M11xJan 8, (THAINDIAN NEWS) It is clear that the difference between a competent laptop and a netbook is gradually blurring. That is what the CES 2010 will make you believe at least. It would be wrong to think that only HP Slate is hogging all the attention at the much awaited event. Dell has stunned the world with its upcoming Alienware M11x gaming notebook at CES 2010. This sleek model oozes style from every square inch. It is among ten most powerful ultra-portable notebooks in the market that can delight the gamers. Its 11 inch form factor is ideal for the gaming freaks who love gaming on the move. While it still does not offer Blu-Ray support, it can playback 720p HD content smoothly.

The presence of the HDMI port means that the users can hook it up to a larger display whenever they want. The Nvidia GT335M used by Dell in this model is very powerful and the hardcore gamers will not be disappointed. The provision of switching from integrated graphics to Nvidia GPU is alluring and it does not require reboots either. In the test run it churned out 30 FPs in a demanding game like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 with all the visual effects turned on.

Dell is confident that it will attract the gaming buffs. The company is yet to decide the cost of the model but it is expected to be within $1,000 mark. This model shows a marked improvement over the much touted and exorbitantly priced Dell Adamo which was launched as a challenger to Apple Macbook. Dell claims that the model will offer six hours of battery life.
