Nov 7, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The iPhone users have been hit with a minor glitch which may affect their schedule on Monday. The alarm clocks in their mobiles may go off an hour earlier thanks to the closure of Daylight Saving time which is getting effective from Monday. Reports have poured in that the iPhone users have already been affected in New Zealand and Australia. The users in the UK have also been affected by this bug. However, the avid technology bloggers have said that this problem occurs only in those iPhones which have alarm set for a limited period. For the iPhone users who have set alarm for everyday it will not cause any problem.
A lot of iPhone users had no clue about the issue and they woke up a hour late wondering what had hit their beloved mobile devices. A lot of enraged and confused users posted their ire on Twitter. Apple has drawn flak from the users for failing to fix this bug. However, the Cupertino based tech giant has said that the daytime savings time glitch will be fixed with the upcoming iOS 4.2 update. This update is likely to be offered in this month as Apple has indicated.
As one can imagine thousands of iPhone users who rely on their device for waking up in the morning were caught unaware by this glitch. Possibly Apple does not consider this bug to be an important one. Natalie Harrison, a spokeswoman for the company had revealed to a media outlet that customers should set nonrepeating alarms for now and reset the alarm after November 7 to resolve the issue.
