Las Vegas, Jan 4 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The 2010 edition of the Consumer Electronics Show is all set to kick start this week, from the 7th of January. The international Consumer Electronics Show has been around for the past 4 decades and is a huge hit, as it is widespread throughout the global industry. Many major electronic companies use this platform to announce and launch new products too, so it is an eagerly awaited show.

The first CES took place in New York City in June 1967 and it had 200 exhibitors with over 17,500 attendees. The Consumer Electronics Show is already well known as one of the biggest shows worldwide for companies to show off and launch their new electronics and gadgets to consumers. This year Sony Computer Entertainment plans to be a big participant at CES and they are leaving no stone unturned to put up a spectacular stage to showcase their products.

Sony is building up a great booth and many pictures have been released which show that Sony is putting an enormous amount of effort into the trade show. The scale of the booth area and the setup look to be very impressive and it looks like Sony has some great plans to launch some innovative products this year at the Consumer Electronics Show. There is mounting speculation that Sony might launch a motion controller for their PlayStation 3 console.
