Comcast Outage Turns Up On The Eve Of Cyber Monday

images19Nov 30, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Comcast outage which had sprung up on the eve of Cyber Monday was finally resolved in the early hours on Monday. According to sources, it was solved around midnight. The Comcast outage had hit Boston, Washington DC and its adjacent areas. The Comcast employees said that they had received the complaints on Sunday evening and within hours of it were successfully able to over come it.

However, many irritated Comcast customers were seen expressing their agony through their social networking sites. Many took Twitter as the weapon to pour their grievances out. This was how the news spread far. Some customers had even given advises as to how they should change their connections so that they can combat the technical crisis. Comcast spokesperson Charlie Douglas said that their engineers had identified a server which was the key cause of the problem. The Internet outage had occurred in the Boston, Washington DC and Beltway areas. He further went on to add that the company did not receive any other complaints other than this. The Internet issue was the sole one. Charlie Douglas said that their phone services and video networks were absolutely fine. According to insiders, a particular Comcast spokesperson had apologized to the customers on behalf of the company. The company has not agreed to reveal any more information other than this. They said that they are not sure as to how many customers exactly faced this problem.

The problem had cropped up on the eve of Cyber Monday, which to a great extent has added to the wrong side of Comcast’s reputation. Comcast has given assurance to its customers that their company engineers are still looking into the matter so that their employees never face the same problem once again.
