Nov 29, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Last night it became a ‘all hell broke loose’ kind of situation for the Comcast customers as well as for the company itself. The Internet connections went down creating a space of chaos amongst the Comcast users, mostly in the parts of eastern US. The problem was solved shortly after midnight.

According to sources, the problem had spread its wings as far as from New England to Washington DC. Comcast spokesperson Charlie Douglas told the media that no sooner did the problem crop up when the company’s engineers were sent out to look into the matter and that they had come up with identifying a server issue which had hit only Internet services in Greater Boston and the Washington DC and Beltways areas. The Comcast engineers have reported that the services have been restored successfully. according to the Comcast spokesperson it was not clear for them as to how many people had been actually faced the problem. They were quick enough to add that it was only the Internet service that got affected, otherwise the phone and video services were flexible. It has been reported that the company’s engineers are still working after the matter and trying to find out the root cause of the issue.

Doreen Vigue, another company spokesperson said that she was extremely sorry for that issue and apologized on behalf of the company to Comcast Users. The Company employees were seen to be tight-lipped about any further information related to the outage. The issue was seen across Twitter with annoyed Comcast users posting about their agony. Unfortunately, the incident had coincided with Cyber Monday.
