Chad Hurley To Resign As Youtube CEO

Oct 30, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Chad Hurley, one of the three co- founders of the video sharing site Youtube will resign as the Chief Executive Officer, as reported by the San Bruno, California. The website, which apparently changed the media outlook and the entire way of looking at the internet, about to lose one of its founders.
Chad Hurley will be replaced by Salar Kamanga. However, the former will continue to be a part of the advisory board of the company. The other founders of the company, namely, Steve Chen, will continue to serve his office. The three founders of the company has been responsible for making Youtube almost synonymous and indispensable with online videos. The company sold their year old stat-ups in 2006 to Google for $1.65 billion in stock. However, despite the merge, the company never faced any problems and is still considered to be the main online video website, serving 100 million clips a day. The merge was rather be a boon, as the site gained a new dimension after it was taken over by Google. After this merge, the three co- founders of the company, Chad Hurley, Steve Chen and Jawed Karim, were mainly busy dealing with the design and improving their interaction with the users.
The 33 year old Chad Hurley had been the leader of this company, ever since it was founded in February 2005. His sudden decision to give up his office was declared on Thursday night, at a technology conference at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. When asked about why he decided to take such a decision, he just said that he wants to take up an advisory role and hand over his position to Google veteran, Salar Kamanga.
