CEO of Dell Flashes 7 Inch Android Tablet Computer

Sep 23 (THAINDIAN NEWS) According to a report from the Associated Press Dell is working on a new tablet computer, which will be only seven inches and will run with the Android operating system by Google.
The small computer was flashed briefly by Michael Dell, CEO of Dell Inc, during an annual Oracle conference which was held in San Fransisco, California, but he was quiet about the details of the device. When Dell spokesman, Matthew Parrette was asked when the prototype was expected t go on sale, he refused to comment.
The first tablet which Dell brought to the table was called ‘the Streak’. This five inch Android device is also a mobile phone, and is about half the size of an iPad. It is said to be something between a cell phone and a tablet, and it offers many capabilities of each.
The Streak has a 5 megapixel camera, with a dual LED flash, GPS and Qualcomm’s 1 GHz SnapDragon processor with Bluetooth capabilities. Dell, and several others have recently created tablet computers which will rival the iPad. Samsung, Hewlett Packard, and several others have stepped in to compete with Apple’s tablet pc.
