The game has proved to be a runaway success with the gamers much in the tune of the earlier Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The map for the Xbox 360 players will be made available tomorrow for $15 as it has been reported. The release of the DLC will precede the Black Ops double-XP weekend. Larry Hyrb the Director of Programming for Xbox Live made the announcement on his blog through a podcast and it was also confirmed by Josh Olin, Treyarch Community Manager. The Double Xp weekend is meant for all gaming platform, according to them.

The First Strike DLC includes a Zombie mode map named Ascension and four new multi player maps. The multi player maps are Stadium, Kowloon, Berlin Wall and discovery. The Treyarch chiefs are of the opinion that all the new maps will prove to be a hit with the players of the franchisee after the release. The trailer video of the new maps of COD: Black Ops is already available in the web and the promos look seriously impressive.

The map Discovery is set in the abandoned Antarctic research station of Germany set in the single-player campaign. It is meant for those FPS lovers who get turned on by frenetic fire-fights. Kowloon is adapted from the game’s single-player campaign but it has been revamped to an extent. In Berlin wall you can finally use sniper weapons, a grudge the COD lovers had for long. It is a big map indeed meant for the veteran and hardcore gamers.
