Nov 2, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The majority of the web users stick to Google and Bing for searching about any kind of information online. However, at times the widely used and trusted search engines can throw up some irrelevant results including some of the spam sites as it has often been seen. For those who want more accurate results and do not have the time to sort the required link from the tons of irrelevant ones, there is a some good news. The beta version of a new search engine has been made available for the web users and if the claims of the founders of the engine are true then it can offer some stiff competition to Google, the topmost search engine.
Rich Skrenta is the co founder of this new search engine. He said in an interview “The goal is to clean up Web search and get all the spam out of it”. However, the beta version has been released and the Internet analysts think it will be quite sometime before Blekko can challenge the established and popular search engines. It makes use of slash tag technology to offer refined and spam free results to the web users. It already offers some hundred examples and the users are allowed to create their own tags. The final version will have some more features to change the on-line search experience of the users.
Google is still the reigning king in Internet search market and hold 70 percent of the market share. Bing is making significant progress as well. The search engine analysts have given thumb up to Blekko. However, taking on Google is a mammoth task for any search engine.
