Blackberry unveils Playbook Tablet

playbook1 Sep 28 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Blackberry showcased their Playbook Tablet recently and the audience at the launch party lapped the new gadget.

According to speculations, the latest Blackberry’s playbook Tablet will slice off Apple’s iPod market. The tablet is said to be quite fast as well. The release of the blackberry tablet is expected during New Year. The new model will have a 7-inch multi-touch screen feature for its buyers. The company has uploaded a new operating system, which is derived from company’s QNX purchase.

Dan Dodge Company’s founder of Blackberry joined Mike Lazaridis, chief executive of Blackberry at the launch party . Dan Dodge told the press that latest QNX has a new vision with an extraordinary feature never experienced before.

Lazaridis said that the playbook would be the first of it kind, he added that its professional tablet with an incredible gaming experience for players. Playbook will be able run Adobe’s Flash, which is an unavailable feature in Apple’s iPod. It also offers micro-HDMI and micro-USB ports to make the playbook a user-friendly device. The net weight is around 400 grams with in-built HD cameras, which supports video calling. The device will be available for US market in early 2011 but for UK and rest of the markets around the world, the release date has not been announced yet.
