The telecom market is abuzz with the newly released Garmin-Asus Garminfone which will be sold under the banner of T Mobile.
As one can understand from its name it offers GPS navigation and also doubles up as a mobile phone. It runs on Android 1.6 OS and hence the users can access plenty of Android Apps. The T-Mobile customers who stay in Philadelphia and some other provinces can buy the device.
The Garmin phone is ideal for those users who need to travel a lot and tend to lose their way. The device offers extensive turn-by-turn navigation direction.
Apart from road directions the users of the phone can also get latest updates on weather in an area, traffic updates and price of gas etc.
These make it a very handy device for the users. Its internal 4GB memory is quite adequate and for demanding users there is a memory card slot. The phone is quite slim.
The Asus Garminfone has a big screen which is touch enabled. It comes with a handy car mount and charger so that the users can charge it on the move.
The screen like most of the Touchscreen Smartphone’s can rotate as the user rotates the device in his hand. The phone also comes equipped with a decent 3 MP camera that can take snaps and record videos. The phone also supports 3G networks and hence the users can surf web at blazing speed and download stuffs. There are other handy features like support for Bluetooth, Wi-Fi radio and a lot of utility applications.
