Apple’s iPad to retail in BestBuy?

apple-iPad New York, Jan 30 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Apple introduced the iPad, with a lot of fanfare and all Apple fans are anxious to lay their hands on the latest Apple gizmo. According to reports, iPad is going to retail at BestBuy and Apple stores in late February or early March. At the launch, Steve Jobs had announced that the shipping for the 3G models would start in around 3 months. Whereas the Wi-Fi models will be shipped worldwide in just 60 days. So there is a disconnect with what Steve Jobs said at the launch, and so it remains to be seen if the highly desirable iPad is available in late February/early March or not.

Apple fans are calling up their electronic stores and asking about iPad, as they can barely contain their excitement after the exciting launch of iPad at a special event at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco on 27th January. And when Steve Jobs said that the basic iPad would cost just $499, then there was disbelief all over. For the 32 GB version with Wi-Fi, the price is $599 and for the 64 32 GB version with Wi-Fi, the price is $699. And there are other iPad’s too with 3G, however they cost a wee bit more on the pocket. The 16 GB iPad with Wi-Fi and 3G costs $629 and the 32 GB iPad with Wi-Fi and 3G costs $729 and the 64 GB iPad with Wi-Fi and 3G costs $829. Earlier there were strong rumors, that the iPad would be priced around $1000, so with these prices, there are more and more people who want to possess it.
