apple-iPad San Francisco, Jan 27 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Apple has launched the iPad at a special event at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco today. This was an invitation only event, and Apple had said that it would introduce its latest creation at this event. And the latest creation turned out to be the extraordinary iPad and even though the event was thought to be over-hyped but, when the legendary Steve Jobs showcased iPad, then all doubts were laid to rest. According to Steve Jobs, ‘iPad is much more intimate than a laptop and it’s much more capable than a Smartphone.’ It is said to bridge the gap between iPod and the Apple MacBooks.

The User Interface on the iPad is very intense, it seems quite familiar, but at the same time it seems much improved from the iPhone and the OS X. The iPad is very thin, beautifully crafted and has a Home Button at the base, like the iPhone. It has built-in slideshows, and the music effortlessly plays with the slides, and with the transitions as well. It is a good product to store photographs, and it has a photo scrubber bar at the bottom as well. It can also show the calendar and maps, and use the Internet to navigate to a place too.

It also has the best capacitive multi-touch sensors in the whole wide world, so it is very precise and super responsive as well. Besides this it has a battery life of 10 hours, which is quite a lot. It is just 0.5 inches thin, and it weighs just 1.5 pounds. And it has a 9.7-inch IPS display. It also has the usual add-ons accelerometer, compass, speaker, mic, and dock connector.
