Oct 12, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Apple the Cupertino based technology giant has managed to get a trademark for the well known catchphrase that goes as “There’s an app for that”. The Apple products like iPad, iPhone and the Macs are associated with the tagline. The tagline has become hugely popular over the years and it has turned into a pop culture reference. Apple has used this tagline so far to stress on the huge number of software application available for its flagship products including the iPhone. The App store of Apple offers several thousand applications supported by the iPad, iPhone and iPod. The Apple device users download such application by thousands every week and they are developed by software developers approved by Apple.
However, a number of rival companies have made parody of the tagline to take a dig at Apple. It is clear that Apple does not want this to happen anymore. The apps are meant for the iOS the operating system that runs in most of the Apple devices available in the market these days. Apple products have always managed to attract a niche section of users who have not bothered the steep service charges that come with Apple devices. The Functionality of the products are enhanced when the users download and use the apps in them.
However, general people can still use the catchline trademarked by Apple and they would not draw penalty for that. It will impose restriction on rival companies from now onwards to distort the phrase and use it for their benefit. Apple has always been very particular about protecting its patents and innovations in technology.
