Apple Alerts Intent to Share Location Data

June 22 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The privacy policy for Apple has recently been updated with new language which could cause some iPad and iPhone users some concern. The new clause which has been added to the policy contains a warning from Apple which says that they will “share precise location data” with their partners and licensees.

Although many people are expressing concern over the new wording of the privacy policy, Google has already been doing this same thing with the Android platform. The information is not technically used to track you, but to keep a record of the device and the services which are being used by the device. The feedback is supposed to help developers and third party companies to improve theirs application’s performance and capabilities.

Users will not be able to update or download any apps from the iPhone App Store until they agree to these privacy terms. As always, most of the customers will click “accept” without ever reading these terms, and the only way to not agree to them is to no longer use iTunes to download applications, which is not a realistic solution.
