AOL hires financial advisers to explore Yahoo deal

New York, Nov 8 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Wall Street Journal has reported that AOL has hired financial advisors to advise the company on all options in its intended relationship with Yahoo Inc. the company is exploring the possibility of combining forces with most famous email service provider in the world.

The two companies have been in negotiations for about a month now and the new move is seen as AOL’s attempt to get the best out of the possible deal that the negotiations will bring. The deal however is far off and some critics even believe it will not happen. Whatever the case, the two companies have indicated their willingness to work out a deal.

One such critic revealed that, “It looks great conceptually and everyone gets all hot and bothered…But when you actually do the numbers, you hit a pretty big wall of impossible”. However the truth is that the two companies have made formal meetings and considered possible merge. When that happens, it will create one of the biggest forces in the Internet marketplace.

AOL however is not limiting its options to Yahoo alone in its bid to ensure that its increases its business revenue. The company is looking at other possibilities and the Wall Street Journal reported that the company wants to take full advantage of the company’s display ad business.
