untitled6 Oct 19, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The launch of the first android enabled phone HTC G1 in September 2008 created quite a rage among a variety of users but at the same time there was confusion as to how the android operating system was to be addressed. Google’s CEO, Eric Schmidt in a conference late last week emphasized on the ever-expanding applicability of the android OS. The new venture by Google would surely result in android being extensively used as a featured software in most of the phones in the coming years.

The increased usability of the android OS would significantly help to upgrade its appeal in the mobile community. According to Mr. Schmidt, Google is gradually expanding its android adoption plans with the main purpose of enhancing the usage of each and every device and at the same time giving importance to their hardware. The ever-increasing presence of the android OS is palpable from the fact that 12 devices enabled with android OS are found on 32 carriers in 26 countries. Moreover, around the second week of October, Google entered into an alliance with Verizon, an American telecommunications company according to which Verizon would market phones with Google enabled version of android OS.

Moreover, the android OS is also gaining increased popularity in the US as Dell, one of the largest technology based companies in the country is planning to launch an Android enabled phone in 2010.This was declared officially this week by Michael Dell, the CEO of the company after months of speculation. The company, in partnership with a Chinese operator, is all set to launch the Dell Mini 3i powered with android Os in the US.
