ZenyattaNov 7, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Breeders Cup 2010 has reached its conclusion leaving many in utter disappointment. It was marked with a lot of excitement, thrill and anxiety, especially the last event, “Breeders Cup Classic”, where the most celebrated superstar, Zenyatta was just about to end her career with her third consecutive victory for the same title. However, she lost her game just by inches.

The most graceful and highly revered horse was defeated by Blame, ridden by Garrett Gomez. It was a great achievement for Blame, as no one had the slightest clue that he would be able to surpass the most competent horse in the race. Blame crossed the finishing line first leaving Zenyatta just an inch behind. Garett Gomez said that it was great beating Zenyatta, as the competition was quite challenging. He would have supported her, had she competent against any other horse but Blame. However, he also thanked the other racing public who thought Blame to be competent enough and gave him the great opportunity to beat the superstar. Zenyatta’s owners, A& Record Inc. founder Jerry Moss, and his wife, Ann were a bit disappointed with her defeat by the slimmest margin. However, they said that they are really proud of their “girl” and her genuine attempt to give the best shot possible. They were humble enough to congratulate Blame, who according to them defeated the best horse.

Garrett Gomez responded with similar humility and sophistication and said that he takes no pride to have beaten Zenyatta, as she still remains to be the best female horse who have won most of her races against her male counterparts. Had Zenyatta won this race, it would have been her third consecutive victory in the Breeders Cup Classic and the twentieth undaunted victory of her career.
