Zenyatta Clinches 19th Consecutive Victory

zenyattaInglewood, Oct 3, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Zenyatta kept her fans on the edge on Saturday as the Lady’s Secret Stakes race was drawing close to the end. Her fans though were much relived and delighted when Zenyatta came out victorious in the event that was held at Hollywood Park. She got her 19th consecutive win on Saturday and has created history in the world of horse racing.

Zenyatta kept the suspense and tension on as she was on number three at the eighth pole, three lengths behind the leader Switch but then she picked up speed and finished first. Jockey Mike Smith who was visibly delighted about the victory described the feat that Zenyatta had displayed as amazing. As the racehorse reached the finishing line to clinch victory, the large number of crowds cheered boisterously and honored Zenyatta with a standing ovation. A bigger challenge awaits Zenyatta in the Breeders Cup Classic at Churchill Downs which is scheduled to be held next month. This will be the last race of her career and a crucial one as it would secure for her a place in the history of horse racing. With her recent win, Zenyatta has tied the record of 19 straight set by Peppers Pride and no other horse has won 19 times in a row in the United States.

Zenyatta, reportedly, has the highest career earnings for female horses which is estimated to be about $150,000. In the meanwhile, all her fans are eagerly waiting for the Breeders Cup Classic race which is all set to take place on November 6.
