Dubai, Oct 14 (IANS) Zaheer Khan’s man of the match effort in Bangalore has helped him jump seven places to 11th spot in the International Cricket Council’s rankings for Test bowler.Zaheer took six wickets in the drawn match, including 5-96 in the first innings.
Things were not that rosy for Indian captain Anil Kumble though. Kumble, who did not pick a single wicket in the match, lost eight places, plummeting from 10th position to 18th.
Michael Hussey’s maiden century on Indian soil has taken him to the top of the batting charts.

Hussey held the top position for a brief period earlier this year during his side’s tour of the Caribbean.

V.V.S. Laxman gains one place to 14th but Virender Sehwag falls back one spot to 11th and Sachin Tendulkar drops back another place to 24th.
