Younis Khan has helped players gel together : Bari
September 29th, 2009 - 5:13 pm ICT by ANIIslamabad, Sep.29 (ANI): The Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) Chief Operating Officer (COO) Wasim Bari has hailed captain Younis Khan’s leadership qualities, saying he has helped the players gel together.
“Younis has brought a certain togetherness to the squad and has brought the team together. The squad has gelled very well under Younis’leadership,” Bari told PakPassion.net.
Bari said players have shown good temperament and skills in the ICC Champions Trophy so far, and asked the team to remain focus on their goal and continue their brilliant show in the tournament.
“The boys have been very impressive so far in the Champions Trophy tournament, but I would urge caution and focus, as Pakistan still has a very tough match against the Australians who are a strong team,” he said.
Commenting on off-spinner Saeed Ajmal’s performance in the match against India that Pakistan won by 54 runs, Bari said : “Saeed is a very talented cricketer and someone who has the ability to perform under pressure. He is a smart cricketer and one of the best cricketers for playing well under pressure, as he displayed in the match against India.” (ANI)
