Minneapolis, Apr 7, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Minnesota Vikings quarterback player Brett Favre has become a grandfather at the age of 40. Brett Favre and his wife Deanna welcomed their eldest daughter’s son Parker Brett recently. The proud grandpa declared in his website that he and his wife “are very proud” to welcome the new family member. The baby boy of Brittany was born on Apr 2 and reportedly weighs 7 pounds and 7 ounces. The player also mentioned in the website that the mother and the child are doing well.
The news was made public first by a local newspaper was later confirmed by the player. Brett Favre who is considered as one of the greatest quarterback player in NFL and have to his credit many records, will become the first grandpa to play in NFL if he decides to join the Vikings this season. The player has still not made any public announcement on whether he will return to the team to play his 20th season.
However, if he returns this season then he would have a record to his credit which would be hard to break for any other player. Though many had previously joked that the player is too old to continue in the National Football League, it seems that none could have guessed that the player would ultimately become the first grandpa to play NFL on field. However, Brett Favre had enjoyed a good season last year and had contributed immensely to the success of the team. He had led the Minnesota Vikings to the NFC title game last year. According to speculations, the player might this season play for the Southern Mississippi team, but the coach of the team Larry Fedora, reportedly said that the player has not declared any such thing.
