Philadelphia, Aug 20 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The upcoming NFL season promises to be an exciting one as many of the teams are preparing earnestly for it. The Philadelphia Eagles will be taking on the Cincinnati Bengals in a tough match to prepare both teams for the NFL season.

Kevin Kolb will be the main man on the offensive for the Eagles who just like the Bengals, lost their match in the first round of last season’s playoffs. Kolb had three 300-yard games in a row last season when Donovan McNabb wasn’t in the team.

Defensive options remain available for both teams who have very stalwart defensive players who are back in the starting line ups. Even though last season wasn’t one to remember for the Eagles, the still ended up at the 12th position in terms of total defense. The Bengals had a better defensive record after finishing the fourth defensive team in relation to the yards allowed.

Kevin Kolb has been playing for the Eagles since the second round of the 2007 NFL Draft after playing football in college for the University of Houston.

Carson Palmer signed for the Eagles in 2003, but never had the opportunity to play in his debut season because John Kitna was the first choice quarterback.
