World Series Game 6 was a treat for all the fans
October 28th, 2011 - 6:45 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattSt. Louis, Oct 28 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Texas Rangers came so close to clinching the World Series on Thursday but they ended up throwing the chance away. The St. Louis Cardinals will be the first to admit that they were lucky to push the series to Game 7 after a dramatic win at home during Game 6.
The game ended 10-9 in favor of the Cardinals but the story would have been different if closer Neftali Feliz and Scott Feldman had been on the right footing. Feliz knew the cost of his error and after the game he failed to speak to the press. He seemed distraught as he walked to the team’s bus with his iPad in his hands.
Feldman on the other hand seemed to have recovered from the blunder and was speaking to the press at the clubhouse. With crucial Game 7 coming up, Feliz need to move from the shadows of the past.
Teammate Darren Oliver agrees that Feliz needs to move on. He said that, “It’s baseball. You can’t be perfect every time. He had a hiccup in Game 6 of the World Series. It’s a tough time to have one, but it happens. I’m sure if we’re in the same situation tomorrow night, he’s going to be in there again. And we have all the faith in the world that he’s going to get the job done.”
