Nov. 3, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Philadelphia Phillies had clinched a 8-6 victory on the New York Yankees in the World Series Game 5. By winning the fifth game of the World Series, they have narrowed down the lead taken by the Yankees. The team of Yankees after winning the Game 4 of World Series had taken 3-1 lead in the series but after Game5 it has come down to 3-2. World Series Game 5 was filled with lots of excitement as both the teams have played skilfully. According to the reports of the sources, the score of Yankees in the eighth and nine innings was not sufficient for restricting the Phillies to secure a win.

Philadelphia Phillies who had lost three matches in the series was geared up to secure a win in the Game 5 so that they can stay in the series. They had made some excellent strategies to restrict the Yankees from winning Game 5 and was successful. Alex Rodriguez performance was quite well in this game. It has been reported by the sources that Yankees had tried to get a dominating position in the game but Chase Utley’s three run homer changed the score. Chase Utley had played well for the Phillies. He had made significant contribution in Phillies victory of World Series Game 5.

As the Phillies had recorded a win in the World Series Game 5, it is expected that fans would get to see some exciting performance from both the teams in Game 6. Yankees on Wednesday will host the Game 6 and this can give some advantage for the Yankees team. Phillies team will have to keep up their performance if they want to win the next match.
