World Cup kabaddi: India in semis
November 10th, 2011 - 9:28 pm ICT by IANSMuktsar (Punjab), Nov 10 (IANS) India Thursday became the first team to reach the semifinal of the second edition of the 14-nation World Cup Kabaddi.
India beat Canada 51-24 at Doda village in Muktsar district to make the last four.
India, which is in Pool-A, has won all its five league matches.
Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal was present at the Doda village to witness all three matches Thursday.
India had won the inaugural World Cup Kabaddi last year, defeating traditional rivals Pakistan.
The finals of the 20-day tournament will be played at Ludhiana Nov 20.
