will New York, Jan 13 (THAINDIAN NEWS) After Lane Kiffin’s departure from Tennessee, it seems like Will Muschamp is the leading candidate for the vacancy. It seems unlikely that he will leave Texas. Will Muschamp had interviewed for the Tennessee job before too, but it was handed on a platter to Lane Kiffin. But after Lane Kiffin’s abrupt departure, it seems quite unlikely that Will Muschamp will swallow his pride and ego and go join Tennessee.

William Larry Muschamp was born on August 3, 1971, in Rome, Georgia. He is an American college football coach and the current defensive coordinator and linebackers coach of the Texas Longhorns football team after previously serving in the same positions with Auburn and LSU. Muschamp has gained a reputation both for his excellent defenses as well as his excited and fiery demeanor during games and practice.

In his second season at Auburn, Muschamp was a finalist for the 2007 Broyles Award for the most outstanding assistant coach in college football. The University of Texas has announced that Muschamp would succeed Mack Brown as head coach of the Longhorns, though no schedule has been set for him as yet.
