London, Feb.28 (ANI): Coach Arsene Wenger has urged his Arsenal side not to let their Carling Cup defeat ruin their season.
Boss Wenger admitted his team was ‘destroyed’ after seeing their chance of a Quadruple disappear following Obafemi Martins’ late Birmingham winner.
The Sun quoted Wenger, who is still seeking a first trophy since 2005, as saying: “It’s a huge disappointment. But we have massive challenges in front of us and the Carling Cup is four or five games. The Premier League is 38 games and we can’t throw 38 games away because of this.”
“I’m confident we are strong enough mentally to come back and win things this season,” he added. (ANI)
