Website hailing suicide attacks gets 35,000-pound grant from British govt!June 10th, 2008 - 11:36 am ICT by ANI
London , June 10 (ANI): Ahead of the third anniversary of the 7/7 London attacks in which four suicide bombers killed 52 people, an Islamic website muslimyouth.net backing suicide bombers has reportedly received a 35,000-pound grant from the British Government.
The website carries dozens of hate messages by fanatics on its support group site. One of the members wrote of suicide missions: If you can blow dozens of people up at the same time, great, absolutely great.
And, in another similar message a member praised a beheading video of British hostage Ken Bigley, saying: I like the beheading videos of the prisoners of war especially the Daniel Pearl and Ken Bigley one, reported The Sun.
Rizwan Hussain of muslimyouth.net, said: Were conscious of a few people venting anger on our site. If there was a direct threat made we would alert authorities.
But, the Department for Communities and Local Government agreed to fund the groups film on problems faced by UK Muslims. A government spokesman said: We cant prevent violent extremism, if we arent prepared to talk about the issues.
British government officials, including cabinet minister Hazel Blears, will see the film in London tomorrow. (ANI)
