We don’t have crisis at Chelsea, insists Ancelotti

London, Dec. 13 (ANI): Despite Chelsea losing their 100 per cent home League record at Stamford Bridge, manager Carlo Ancelotti insists that there was no crisis at the club.
“I am not angry. It was a good performance. Who can say we are in crisis? I don’t think so. I want to be objective and when I look at the game and the way we played, I saw that my team played very well,” News of the World quoted Ancelotti, as saying.
“We didn’t win because of mistakes at set-pieces. But we played very well for 90 minutes with intensity and good concentration,” he added.
The title race was blown wide open yesterday as Ancelotti’s table toppers were held 3-3 by Everton.
Manchester City also drew 3-3 at Bolton, while Manchester United crashed 1-0 at home to Aston Villa.
Chelsea lost their 100 per cent home League record and, even more worryingly, have failed to win any of their past four competitive matches.
But Ancelotti said: “I didn’t have to say anything to my players because they did the maximum. Sometimes it happens that you draw but when you play like we did, you deserve to win.”
“I am happy for the work of the team on the pitch, we created a lot of chances, but I am unhappy with the result. We still have the same chance to win the title. It will be a long race until the end of the season - the Premier League is very competitive.” (ANI)
