Melbourne, Mar 31(ANI): New Australian vice-captain Shane Watson has said that he expects to sit down with new captain Michael Clarke during the ten-day tour to Bangladesh to begin laying the blueprint for a new era of the country’s cricket.

The Australian team is due to arrive in Bangladesh on April 4 to play three ODIs. The first game will be held at Dhaka’s Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on April 9.

“I think I will get a lot out of speaking to Michael in Bangladesh to see what his vision is for the team going forward,” Fox Sports quoted Watson, as saying.

“It’ll be nice to brainstorm and get his ideas; I’ll put in my ideas and we’ll see what we can try and do to get the best out of everyone there.”

“It’ll take a bit of time to work out exactly what we are going to bring individually to the leadership group,” he added.

Watson will be Australia’s vice-captain in all three forms of the game - as Clarke’s deputy in Test and ODIs and back-up to Cameron White in the Twenty 20 format. (ANI)
