Melbourne, July 7 (ANI): Water Ski world champion and beauty pageant regular Lauryn Eagle, who has her sights set on professional boxing, has made her debut in the ring, though her sparring partner was not who she expected.

Eagle, 22, was to have her first “professional” fight at Sydney Uni boxing club, but her original opponent called in sick for the Nova promo with a chest infection.

Seeing as she was already set, her gym buddy and teacher Steph O’Sullivan stepped in at the last minute and ended up giving her a nasty sock to the eye.

The beauty pageant regular said she now wants an Australian boxing title and still dreams of contesting for Miss Universe Australia in 2011.

“I don’t really bruise easily so I’m not worried,” News.com.au quoted her as saying of a pageant career. (ANI)
