Warren Sapp Faces Domestic Battery Allegations

Feb 7, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Warren Sapp, the 37-year-old former football player visited the confines of a cell on Saturday, February 6th. This was caused by his “alleged domestic violent” spree at a hotel located in Miami beach. The footballer has been charged with a single count of ‘misdemeanor domestic battery’ and will be appearing in the court today, 7th February. Juan Sanchez, who serves as a spokesperson for the Miami Beach Police, said that they will produce him before a Miami-Dade county judge.
Once the news was confirmed by the authorities, the media turned towards official statements from the NFL. In response to this Dennis Johnson, who serves as the spokesperson for the NFL Network, sent an e-mail to a source confirming the fact that the former footballer will be now pulled away from the Super Bowl coverages when the game between the Colts and the Saints take place this Sunday. The statement released by the Network read that they were told by the Miami authorities about the Warren Sapp mishap, following which, “Warren Sapp will not appear on NFL Network while we review the matter.”
The allegations came in during the Saturday afternoon following which, the footballer-turned-analyst was interviewed by the Miami detectives. Police release read that the domestic violence occurred early Saturday morning at a hotel named ‘Shore Club Hotel.’ The person who had grazed the bad side of the footballer ended up with swollen bruises on her neck along with a swollen knee. This women, reportedly, had been partying with the footballer and went into his room to rest for a while. Later, she was woken by Warren Sapp who mishandled her and even tried to choke her.
