Warne’s ‘chuck’ dig at MuraliMarch 17th, 2008 - 2:25 pm ICT by admin
Melbourne, Mar.17 (ANI): Former Australian leg spinner Shane Warne has found common ground with F1 racing star Lewis Hamilton - and it had nothing to do with his form with the grid girls.
Warne found himself in the pits, swapping sporting tips with the Brit racing ace.
While Hamilton is paid for his association with the phone company, the retired spin king’s appearance in the luxury marquee was in an unofficial capacity.
Typically shadowed by blondes trackside, Warne revealed his VB doll is missing a pick-up line he requested be fitted to his figurine. “I wanted it to say ‘chuck us a VB, Murali’,” Warne told Vodafone VIPs, a cheeky reference to his Sri Lankan spin rival Muralitharan.
Winning points for her no-frills appearance was Deputy Prime Minister Julia Gillard, who arrived without an entourage, trudging through the dusty Albert Park fields with the general public, the Daily Telegraph reported. (ANI)
