Warner ready to unleash his fury on the Proteas” bowlers in BrisbaneJanuary 12th, 2009 - 5:41 pm ICT by ANI
Brisbane, Jan.12 (ANI): Australia’’s latest batting star David Warner says that he is looking forward to unleashing his swashbuckling game again for his team in Tuesday night’’s second Twenty20 match against South Africa at the Gabba.
Warner blazed 89 off 43 balls against the Proteas on Sunday night at the MCG, which laid the foundations for a 52-run Australian victory.
On arriving in Brisbane, Warner said he was stunned by the reaction and felt like he was still living a dream almost 24 hours later.
“Massively, massively, it’’s all a dream at the moment,”” The Daily Telegraph quoted him as telling reporters on Monday at the Australian team hotel.
Now in line for a one-day international call-up, Warner played down his chances of meeting South Africa in the five-match 50-over series which starts in Melbourne on Friday.
“I don”t mind the Gabba,”” Warner said. ””(It’’s) short straight so it’’s in my zones and if anything is there I”m still going to play my natural game and hopefully have another good night out.”” (ANI)
