Walsh appointed West Indies U-19 team manager
July 5th, 2011 - 3:09 pm ICT by IANSSt John’s (Antigua), July 5 (IANS) Legendary pacer Courtney Walsh has been appointed manager for the West Indies Under-19 team’s tour of the US starting July 8.
Walsh will manage the squad, coached by Roddy Estwick. Former West Indies opener Stuart Williams is the assistant coach.
Test batsman Kraigg Brathwaite will lead the 14-man squad on the four-match tour.
The West Indies team will depart the Caribbean on July 6. They will play four 50-over games against the US under-19 team at the Broward County Cricket Stadium in Lauderhill, Florida.
