New York, Feb 9 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A baseball coach is currently receiving tremendous praise for a selfless gesture.

Wake Forest coach Tom Walter allowed doctors to give one of his kidneys to a player of his team. Kevin Jordan was looking for a donor and he didn’t have to look far to get one. After he failed to find a match in his family, his coach turned out to be his saver as well.

Jordan’s father told reporters that, “For Coach Walter to do it, you just don’t know what it means for our family, for Kevin. It’s just something you can’t imagine.”

Those comments were before the procedure last Monday. After the surgery, doctors said that both Jordan and Walter were doing very well on Tuesday.

Kevin incredibly called his decision to donate his kidney to Jordan as “no-brainer”. He showed his willingness to donate a kidney to Jordan as soon as he heard he was in need of one. He told the family of Jordan that if he fails to get a donor within his family, he would donate his kidney.

After three bouts of tests in December, it was found that Kevin matched with Jordan. Surgeons announced that they expect the two to make full recovery pretty soon.
